For 16 years I worked in a typical
American corporation, just like the one in Scott Adams' Dilbert. I frequently
went to worthless meetings (although, sometimes the meetings came with FREE
FOOD... That can make them worth going to). In order to keep my sanity and to
keep my mouth shut (don't say what you think, if you want to keep your job!), I
ate free food, or I doodled. I doodled and doodled and doodled. It didn't take
long for the table in front of me to be filled with scraps of paper covered
with doodles. They're hard to hide, so other bored co-workers would pick them
up and try to see things in them. I rarely have anything in mind when I doodle
(with some exceptions), but people can see all kinds of creatures, objects,
feelings, etc. in them. This page consists of a selection of my doodles. Since
I am very uncreative when it comes to naming things, I number my doodles. If
you can see something in these, or if you think it says something about me,
please email me at George@Treisner.com
The
Doodles
Here's a limerick sent to me by Joan Latchford (Thanks
Joan!!!)
There was a young man who drew oodles
of creatures from platypi to poodles.
When friends asked him what
helped him keep his mouth shut,
He replied "I don't talk if I doodles"
